Denty’s loot

29 May 2008

It was Denty day yesterday (for those who missed the subtle message in sMany happy returns.

07:00 - Denty gets a card.

17:30 – Denty answers the doorbell to find balloonand .

19:30 – Denty hears “thump thump thump” going down the stairs. Looking up quizically, he sees a large box floating towards him… A few moments later (after generating tearing noises), Denty finds boxes in boxes which contained an odd array of bits. Not reading the instructions, Denty puts the bits together and ends up with this…

22:00 – A brown substance with lots of blue candles meets Denty on his way to the kitchen (Mitch apparently couldn’t stop him- but I think she should have tackled him American football style).

Pure chocolate indulgence. Chocolate genoise sponge layered with a rich Belgian chocolate cream and decorated with swirls of dark Belgian chocolate. Oh yeah.

24:00 – Happy Denty goes to bed… zzz…

Half barrel pond

24 May 2008

It has taken me 10 months to:

  • soak the barrel to get rid of the alcoholic remnants of its past
  • stock with plants to oxygenate the water provide food for the inhabitants
  • stock with snails and mussels to eat the algae
  • nurture a very delicate ecosystem with bacterias and water softener

After 3 weeks of continued water testing to ensure consistent non-toxicity, neutral pH and buffers, the fishes, rosy red minnows are finally ready to go in…

sMoney in transit

19 May 2008

Having recently published the plight of sMitch and sMuks, the sLug Foundation received plenty of sMoney from a… philanic? Phominlantropic? PhilfrosMitch? Ah yes, philharmonic! Definitely philharmonic, reader. The name of my philharmonic reader is a complicated one, and due to editorial uncertainties, I have decided that my keyboard cannot cope with the workload.

The following images are reproductions from the true event, not reenacted by actors.

Dead feet

8 May 2008

I bought a gorgeous pair of Ralph Lauren heels during my last shopping trip to New York. Since the weather was so nice and sunny the last few days, I thought I would wear a suit with a flattering pencil skirt this morning, plus the heels.

Four inches. Feet is now dead.
