Still on the fishes
31 December 2008
Well, the Biorb Life is double the price of the Biorb Pure, but it is also double the capacity. More space equals healthier fishes…
I could forgo a whole year’s worth of coffee at work (and drink the free vending machine ones) and get this. Fishes make me happy, but the lack of coffee gives me headaches. Can I put up with a happy headache?
Maybe not. I don’t like being broke.
Fishes are good
30 December 2008
I want a Biorb Pure marine version aquarium with two clownfishes, two shrimps, two hermit crabs and two clams. Well, make that 10 clams in case Mitch (a.k.a. enk-Bob) gets hungry for a snack.
A letter to Rowena
27 December 2008
Dearest Rowena,
How are you? I guess you must be having a real ball in heaven. Do you remember when we first met? No? Neither do I, but that was only because you were a tiny baby and I was 18 months old.
Remember when we used to met up in the park near our houses? We used to swing so high, didn’t we?
Remember the cactus you bought me from that house across the road from yours? It was such a horribly prickly thing.
Remember we used to spend some afternoons at your house? You loved tickling that crazy bird of yours with a paintbrush.
Remember how we used to talk all the time during choir practice? It used to annoy your mum so much, but we did it anyway. The three of us giggling in your mum’s car on our way home.
Remember the time we spent just chatting, about everything and nothing? Everything was so important and earth-shattering. We talked about boys, music, parents , siblings, friends, teachers…
I am sorry you left today. I will see you again, but until then, I will miss you so much.
Yours forever,
Muks

Please direct to,
Rowena

Rest in peace, my friend. No more cancer, no more pain.
We have been busy
24 December 2008
Denty and I were given the Millenium Falcon Lego set as our wedding present by Mitch (a.k.a. enk-Bob). We have been so busy constructing it that we did not notice the huge tree taking up half the living room…

Now I have done everything
9 December 2008
The bathrobe
I have a really nice bathrobe. It is a very thick, soft and fluffy. It is light blue and has a very long (and fluffy) white belt.
The holiday laundry
Denty and I had been away for the entire month of November. Holidays are lovely, except that it is inevitable to spend two weeks catching up on laundry.
The season
It is winter. It is very cold and damp and it takes ages for our laundry to dry. As a result, every railing, bed post and radiator is draped with laundry.
It is also still pitch black outside when I get dressed for work.
The point of my story
I did not switch the light on this morning while I was getting dressed. I put on my trousers and then my shirt. It was really cold, so I looked for my jumper (the nerdy work one with a v-neck and diamond patterns on the front) in the dark.
Due to the laundry catch-up, I found my jumper on the radiator. I fumblingly put my jumper on…
(Fast forward)… commuted… got into work… got coffee… got to my desk… took my overcoat off… wandered around the office…
By 9.07a.m., the office was starting to get warmer, so I took my jumper off. That was when I discovered the long (and fluffy) white bathrobe belt. It was caught in the sleeve (the armpit bit) of my jumper, travelling down along my spine and ended at the back of my calf.
I crossed London and wandered around my office with a long fluffy white tail. Now I have done everything.
Cause and effect
4 December 2008
Cause: I missed my bus this morning because Denty was hiding under my duvet.
Effect: I went back into the house and stole Mitch’s (a.k.a. enk-Bob) nuts.
