The licence

It would be such a shame to not use the rod Denty gave me for my birthday.

Oops…
15 September 2009
I am still working on the same big case that has been going on for more than a year. We are now one month from the trial date, so it has been an extremely busy week.
There are files upon files heaped on my desk. A short moment ago, the Partner on this job came to my desk to look for her notebook (the paper kind, not the typing kind), so I told her that it must be somewhere under the heap of files that I am working on.
Except that when I said it, it came out as “it must be somewhere under this heap of dog dogs”.
Bummer.
Edamame
13 September 2009
The edamame (soya bean) is doing well…

Mmm… steamed lightly and sprinkle with some sea salt.
Bed sharing ‘bad for your health’

Purely borrowed from the BBC, but I couldn’t help myself…

The perils of online shopping
7 September 2009
Well, Denty and I are very busy people who chose to spend our free time doing stuff we actually like, rather than doing stuff like going to the supermarket every week to do our grocery shopping. As the result, we buy all our groceries online, which in itself is not a complicated process. You choose the time you want your stuff delivered, then you choose whatever you need to buy and then you cough up the dough.
The day of the Muks
6 September 2009
It is my day today, and Denty has been spoiling me. Denty sneaked (or is it snuck) downstairs early this morning and later woke me up with a much needed cup of coffee.
This was quickly proceeded with a round of presents… Woodstock (although Denty put him on my lair a few days ago to surprise me), a fishing rod, a cookbook on how I can cook the fishes I may catch and a cookbook on how to cook asian food (mainly curry, I suppose). There is a reason behind the fishing rod, but that will only be usable in two month’s time.

Goose fat and garlic
5 September 2009
Denty decided to take me out on a pre-birthday lunch trip to a pretty little village on Sawbridgeworth. It was a lovely place, with not a single chained coffee place in sight!
After a little wander, we headed into a highly recommended restaurant, the Goose fat and garlic for some tapas.

Chicken and cake
5 September 2009
Last night’s dinner was so lip smacking that I couldn’t help taking photos of it. I made spiced baked chicken (quite moroccan, I would say) on a bed of wild mushroom couscous with a side of sauteed beans.

The absolutely delicious dinner was followed by a banana and chocolate chunk cake. Heavenly.

The new lawn
5 September 2009
The old lawn was an absolute mess, with more weed than actual grass. In order to make it more Mum friendly when she visits next year, we decided to do a revamp on the garden. We dug up the concrete path that ran through the middle of the lawn…
